We live just outside the town of Oliva here in the Province of Valencia. We moved over here in 2002 and have spent the last few years restoring the Villa Siglo.
Oliva is a town of two parts ... the main town which is about a kilometer from the coast and the Playa d'Oliva which is the beach part and is very busy in the summer months of July and August, though it is very quiet in the winter months. There are still bars and restaurants open in the winter at the beach .... unlike some other local resorts which are like ghost towns in the winter months.
The main town has a lot of history and some lovely old buildings ... also there is a typical Gypsy quarter where there is always something going on amongst the old town houses. Here are a couple of maps which show where we are
