A little about us
We moved over here to Spain in 2002 and have settled down in the town of Oliva which is situated on the Costa Blanca between Alicante and Valencia. In the UK we used to have a computer business as well as being involved with Staffordshire Bull Terriers. We were both on the committee of the Morecambe Bay Staffordshire Bull Terrier club for several years where Victoria was the treasurer. She has judged Staffords at a few shows in the UK, but the move to Spain unfortunately put an end to her judging as there are not the same limit and open type of shows here ... just the Championship type. Although I must say that she was invited to judge at the PEPA (Protección y Educación Para los Animales) charity dog show, but had to turn it down as we were away !!
We brought 2 Staffords Oliver and Lulu with us when we moved here but unfortunately were unable to show them in Spain as they both broke canine teeth whilst fighting with each other (typical Staffords)
We then bought another bitch from the UK, Sofie, hoping to show her here .... but despite being a very promising looking puppy she developed an undershot mouth and we haven't been able to show her either. Since then Oliver and Lulu have both passed away and we have bought an American Staffordshire Terrier dog, Jerry-Lee which we have shown a few times and he has done fairly well. We also have a Stafford bitch, Sally, who we found wandering around in the rain after she had been abandoned in Oliva the week before Christmas 2006. She is a very small, Spanish bred Stafford, but she is really sweet and we reckon she was about 8 or 9 years old when we found her.
In 2008 and 2009 we have imported some stock from Caymenstaffs in the UK and are hoping to re-establish a line of Siglo Staffords here in Spain and hopefully breed some nice dogs for both showing and quality pets. It will give me something to do ... that is as well as finishing a house restoration project, building an AC Cobra replica, looking after dogs, repairing PCs, doing websites and occasionally sitting in the sun!
